Vogue

Launched in the 1970s, Vogue Eyewear has been creating feminine and sophisticated eyewear that boasts an extra special touch of directional glamour. Appealing to the dynamic and curious, Vogue Eyewear offers the perfect accessory to a constantly evolving wardrobe. With their multi faceted and ultra-luxe styles, Vogue adds a hint of irony to their designs by going back to the brand’s heritage and applying vintage inspired detailing to their current collections.

The Vogue eyewear collections channel into the daily life of today’s young and urban trends, without ever losing its trademark elegance and glamour. The new SS11 collection focuses on the Vogue Eyewear archive from the 80s and offers a cheeky take on a whole host of directional silhouettes. Detailing such as screen prints and colourful enamels are applied to a mix of premium acetates and metallics, recreating the multi-dimensional, in-your-face styles of those unforgettable and energetic years of the 70s and 80s.

This year sees the launch of the highly anticipated collaboration of Vogue Eyewear and British super model, Kate Moss. The stunning global campaign stars the fashion princess and is shot by arguably the world’s most sought after fashion photographer, Mario Testino. Kate has endorsed the collection personally, confiding that she's 'pleased to be the new face of the Vogue Eyewear advertising campaign and to work again with my friend, Mario Testino. Vogue Eyewear is always in step with the latest trends’. The campaign see’s the British beauty embracing the sun-kissed lifestyle of Hollywood-cool oasis-Palm Springs. The inspiration has grown from the roots of retro-glamour, featuring vintage inspired shapes, colours and styles depicted from the 70s and 80s.

The ad campaign is accompanied with a simple, yet punchy message; “She’s in Vogue”. This captures the very essence of Vogue Eyewear whilst the tone and styling of the campaign encapsulates the confident, playful, fabulous and fashionable attitude of the Vogue girl and of course, Kate Moss. Hand picking her personal favourites, Kate Moss paves the way for Vogue Eyewear’s retro glam trend.

We at Shady Shades give Vogue (a beautifully manicured) thumbs up.
